Another Photoshop Test

Another Photoshop lesson! This time a rotoscoped paint test.

Photoshop mentoring

I mentored a high school student on some basics of animation inside of Photoshop. While Adobe has improved some aspects of the program for this, it is still very clunky and very cumbersome to do simple things like holds, shift frame rate, or even drawing on twos. All complaints aside - it's still a lot of fun and I look forward to teaching a few simple techniques and created some short exercises to go along with each lesson like this: a simple ball jumping with some overlap, squash-and-stretch, and secondary animation.

Many life drawing meetups (this one at Drink N Draw Omaha) end up being a giant pile of papers that never get scanned. Here is an attempt at categorizing and organizing some of the best.

TED-Ed Animation Complete!

I was invited to collaborate with TED-Ed to create an animation to introduce the novella Flatland by Edwin A. Abbott. Teaming up animators and educators is a fantastic idea. It was a fantastic opportunity and a great project to be involved with!



David Housden graciously collaborated with me in remixing tracks from his fantastic Thomas was Alone Soundtrack into a fantastic score to help extend the living world into a larger landscape.

New Years Resolution - 2013
